What is the difference between CONTOUR® PLUS LINK and CONTOUR PLUS LINK 2.4?

CONTOUR PLUS LINK and CONTOUR PLUS LINK 2.4 communicate with different insulin pumps.

  • CONTOUR PLUS LINK is compatible with the MiniMed® Veo™ insulin pump, the MiniMed® Real Time insulin pump and the Guardian REAL-Time CGM system.
  • CONTOUR PLUS LINK 2.4 is the only meter that can wirelessly communicate with the MiniMed 640G insulin pump.

What is the difference between CONTOUR LINK and CONTOUR PLUS LINK?

  • CONTOUR LINK is a previous model which uses CONTOUR test strips and connects wirelessly to the MiniMed Veo insulin pump and the MiniMed Real Time insulin pump.
  • CONTOUR PLUS LINK is a new model which connects wirelessly to the same Medtronic devices. It is an update to the CONTOUR LINK meter, and it uses CONTOUR PLUS test strips. If you use a compatible Medtronic device and are interested in getting a CONTOUR PLUS LINK meter, you can contact Medtronic suport at zadiabetes@medtronic.com

 

What is the difference between CONTOUR LINK and CONTOUR PLUS LINK 2.4?

  • CONTOUR LINK is the previous model which uses CONTOUR test strips and connects wirelessly to the MiniMed Veo insulin pump and the MiniMed Real Time insulin pump.
  • CONTOUR PLUS LINK 2.4 is the new model which is designed to wirelessly connect exclusively to the MiniMed 640G insulin pump. It uses CONTOUR PLUS test strips.

How can I get a CONTOUR PLUS LINK 2.4 blood glucose meter?

If you are using the MiniMed® 640G insulin pump, you will automatically receive the CONTOUR PLUS LINK 2.4 meter with your pump.

What test strips do CONTOUR PLUS LINK/CONTOUR PLUS LINK 2.4 use?

The CONTOUR PLUS test strips can be used by both the CONTOUR PLUS LINK and CONTOUR PLUS LINK 2.4. To find out how to get CONTOUR PLUS test strips, visit your local pharmacy or talk to your healthcare professional.

CONTOUR PLUS test strips are available on prescription. 

Can I use CONTOUR test strips with my CONTOUR PLUS LINK/CONTOUR PLUS LINK 2.4 meter?

No, CONTOUR test strips are not compatible with CONTOUR PLUS LINK and CONTOUR PLUS LINK 2.4. Only CONTOUR PLUS test strips can be used with CONTOUR PLUS LINK and CONTOUR PLUS LINK 2.4 meters.
